Bio

Paul Schaumburg has served as community relations director of the Graves County Schools since 2002.
His work has won awards from the Kentucky School Public Relations Association and the Kentucky School Boards Association. He has presented programs on PR and communication at the conferences of KYSPRA, KSBA, the Kentucky Association of School Administrators, and the Southern Regional Education Board.
He started his career as a radio announcer for 15 years, in Kentucky Illinois, and Texas. He went on to work as a staff writer at the Mayfield Messenger newspaper in far western Kentucky for six years, where he wrote news, feature stories, and more than 300 weekly columns.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Western Kentucky University with a double major in mass communication and speech communication. He later earned two Master of Science degrees at Murray State University: one in organizational communication, the other in mass communication.
Since 1996, he has served as an adjunct instructor of public speaking, interpersonal and organizational communication at Murray State University, Shawnee Community College, and West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
